Sound & Pronunciation Guide
Orcish comes from the chest, not the mouth: short bursts, hard g and k sounds, and compound words slammed together like shields. If a word feels comfortable to say, it is not loud enough yet.
WAAAAGH
War itself, compressed into one stretched battle cry. The longer you hold the a, the bigger the battle — a small skirmish gets a short waagh, a full invasion empties your lungs.
gruk / brak / grog
I, you, we — every pronoun is a single grunt. Notice grog covers both "we" and "us": the warband is one body, so it only needs one word.
grukaz, brakaz
Stick -az on a grunt to make it possessive: gruk (I) becomes grukaz (my), brak (you) becomes brakaz (your). One suffix, and you own things in Orcish.
red-glog
Blood, literally "red-drink". Orcish rebuilds abstract words as blunt pictures — bones are hard-bits, honor is warboss-word. Nothing stays abstract for long.
kromp-done
Dead, literally "smashed-finished". Bolt -done onto a violent verb and the matter is closed: smash-done means broken beyond repair. It is the tribe's way of saying "no longer a problem."
Yub!
Yes — always barked, never murmured. Uncertain? Say yub-nar, "yes-no", which is as close as an orc ever gets to admitting doubt.

How the Orcish Translator Works
Orcish keeps English word order but strips it down hard — articles and helper verbs disappear, and every word gets swapped for the shortest, harshest version available (max 10 characters), which is why sentences come out clipped and blunt instead of flowing.
Unknown words are rebuilt from war-camp syllables — gruk, nar, waaaagh, gorr, bash as prefixes, az, ugh, grr, ok, ak as suffixes — with letter swaps like th→z and tion→shun folded in, so invented words still sound like they belong to the same tribe.
The translator peppers output with battle-cry flavor words — WAAAAGH, Yub!, Gorr!, Nar! — and dramatic punctuation, because Orcish is built to sound aggressive first and grammatical second.
How to Speak Orcish
Want to sound orcish? Cut every sentence to the bone: drop the, is, are, and any word that only decorates. Say it like counting punches — "Brak slug-march" hits harder than "you are rather slow", and three short words always beat one long one.
Build words as pictures instead of reaching for a fancy term: blood is red-glog (red-drink), night is dark-time, ale is strong-glog, and a king is just a big-warboss. Need to make anything mightier? Bolt big- on the front and you are done.
Volume is grammar. Greet with GRAH!, agree with Yub!, close a boast with Gorr!, and stretch WAAAAGH as long as your lungs allow. When in doubt about how a line should be delivered, the answer is louder.

About Accuracy
Orcish accuracy means consistency of the war-camp voice, not correctness — there is no ancient orc grammar to be measured against. Every phrase leans on the same grunted pronouns, the same blunt compounds and the same -az possessives, so a battle cry you write today sounds like the same tribe as one you write next year. Treat the results as table props and character voice: made to be bellowed at a game night, not studied.
