Sound & Pronunciation Guide
Dragon is meant to be spoken slowly, from deep in the chest, with long doubled vowels — draakar, varuun, soraan — that stretch like wingbeats. Every sentence should sound like it waited centuries to be said.
draakar
Dragon. Hold the double a — "draa-kar" — instead of rushing through it. Doubled vowels are where the age of the language lives; clip them and it sounds mortal.
soraan
Sky — and also the word for speaking. For dragons, to speak is to command the sky, so one word carries both. When you say it, let the aa roll like distant thunder.

How the Dragon Translator Works
Dragon language flips the usual sentence order: instead of English's subject-verb-object, it renders sentences subject-object-verb, and adjectives move after the noun they describe. That single change is what gives dragon speech its ancient, deliberate cadence.
Vocabulary draws from a dedicated syllable bank — dra, tha, mor, var, kar, gor, neth, shal, varuun — with letter shifts (c→k, f→v, j→zh, q→kh, x→ks) applied consistently across every word, known or invented.
Every translated sentence is framed with a fixed invocation — opening with 'By flame and sky,' and closing '— under ancient wings' — plus scattered flavor words like drak, thal and varok, so even a short phrase reads like it belongs to a much older tongue.
How to Speak Dragon
Want to sound like a dragon? Never hurry. Put the action at the end of the sentence when you can, pause at every comma, and let each line land like it will be carved into a mountainside. A dragon does not chat — it pronounces.
Build new words from the four elements: drak (fire), neth (water), soraan (sky), gorath (mountain and strength). Weld them together the way the language does — drak-neth for blood, neth-soraan for sea, soraan-drak for sun. When you need a word you do not have, ask which elements the idea is made of.
Cut the padding — no "well", "so", or "very". Dragons do not soften. Stretch the doubled vowels (draa, ruu, aa), keep your pitch low, and end sentences falling rather than rising, as if each one settles a matter forever.
