Sound & Pronunciation Guide
Klingon-style is built to be barked: short warrior words full of hard consonants, capital letters in the middle of words (SuvwI', DaHjaj), and apostrophes marking abrupt stops (Qapla'). The soft little words vanish — no "the", no "is" — so each line lands like a fist on a table. If a sentence can be delivered as a challenge, it should be.
Qapla'
Success — the all-purpose salute for hellos, goodbyes and victories. Cut the word off hard at the apostrophe, like a door slamming: kap-LAH.
nuqneH
The warrior greeting, roughly "What do you want?" — warriors do not waste breath on pleasantries. Say it as a demand, not a question.
batlh
Honor — the most important word in the language. The tlh cluster is the signature sound: press your tongue to the roof of your mouth and force the air around its sides.
SuvwI'
Warrior. The capital letters in the middle are part of the spelling, not a typo — S and I are pronounced with extra force, and the final apostrophe is a sharp stop.

How the Klingon-style Translator Works
Klingon-style flips sentence order to subject-object-verb, the same structural choice as Dragon but built from a completely different phoneme set — tlh, ghob, Qap, jIH, HoS as prefixes, apostrophes marking glottal stops at medium frequency, letter shifts like c→k and q→Q.
This is a fan-made style tool, not the licensed Klingon language — the disclaimer says so directly, and the phrasebook leans on well-known fan-culture terms (batlh for honor, Qapla' for success) rather than attempting linguistic accuracy.
Every sentence opens with batlh — and closes Qapla'!, with unrecognized words rebuilt from the same warrior-culture syllable bank so an invented word still sounds like it could challenge you to a duel.
How to Speak Klingon-style
Cut every soft word before you translate a thought: no articles, no "is", no "very". "You are a brave warrior" collapses to "SoH yoH SuvwI'" — you brave warrior. If a sentence still sounds polite after that, cut more.
Speak in verdicts, not observations: things are QaQ (good) or qab (bad), people are yoH (brave) or nuch (coward), and everything ties back to batlh — honor. Compliments are declarations of strength, insults are declarations of cowardice, and both are delivered at the same volume.
Bookend with the war-hall formulas: open with batlh — (with honor), close with Qapla'! and swap hello/goodbye for nuqneH and Qapla'. Then commit with your whole chest — Klingon-style whispered is just a sore throat.
