Ordinary Translation

When you use the translator without creating a shared link, the text you enter is sent in the request body and processed to generate the translation you requested.

Every translation is generated by our internal rule-based engine. There is no AI or external translation service involved. The application code does not intentionally write ordinary translation text to a database, file, or other persistent application storage after returning the response.

We do not sell your text or use it to train AI models. Hosting and network infrastructure may still process request metadata and technical logs, so please do not enter sensitive information into the translator.

Shared Message Links

Sharing is different from ordinary translation. When you create a shared message link, the original text is encoded with reversible Base64URL and placed in the URL's t query parameter. This is not encryption. Anyone who has the link can decode or reveal the original text.

A shared URL may remain in browser history, the clipboard, the receiving application, link-preview systems, and technical infrastructure logs operated by hosting, edge, CDN, or network providers. A link preview may also display the fictional-language translation. Do not put passwords, financial data, medical information, private personal details, or other sensitive information in a shared message.

The application does not intentionally send the original text, translated text, or t payload as custom analytics properties. Before Vercel Web Analytics events are sent from /m/* pages, the application removes the URL query string. This does not control browser history, recipient applications, link-preview services, or infrastructure request logs.

What We Collect

Nerd Text Translator does not require account creation or login. We collect minimal data necessary to operate the service.

The application processes text needed to return an ordinary translation or render a shared message. It does not intentionally write that text to application storage.
We may collect aggregate usage statistics such as page views, selected language, sharing method, and input length. Custom analytics events are designed without original text, translated text, or shared-message payloads.
Network identifiers and request metadata may be processed temporarily by application rate limiting and by hosting or network infrastructure for delivery, security, troubleshooting, and technical logging.

Cookies and Advertising

This site may display Google AdSense advertisements. When ads are active, Google and its partners, including third-party vendors, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve personalized ads to visitors. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for more information.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

Where required by law (for example, for visitors in the EEA and UK), personalized ads may depend on your consent. At this time the site does not run a consent management platform; this is a known gap that will be addressed separately before any expansion of ad delivery to those regions.

What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your data to third parties.
We do not send your text to AI APIs or any external translation service.
We do not intentionally store ordinary translator input or output in an application database.
We do not require registration.

Please do not enter or share sensitive personal information. The tool and its shared links are designed for creative and entertainment use only, not secure communication.
